Integrated Conferencing is the seamless blending of telepresence and video conferencing technology with web conferencing with multiple conferencing experiences. By combining life-like, fully immersive telepresence and video conferencing technology with application sharing and media broadcasting, integrated conferencing provides users with an effective way to naturally communicate around the same table regardless of their physical location.
BrightCom's Visual Collaboration System is the heart of the operation. It allows BrightCom telepresence and video conferencing endpoints, as well as other vendor systems and people connecting from the internet via a web conferencing service, a web camera on a laptop/desktop or mobile device to communicate through video, audio and interactive data sharing. While most vendors use several servers and applications to provide meeting administration, scheduling, NAT/Firewall traversal and a full set of web conferencing features, BrightCom is able to combine all of these functions into the VCS server.
By approaching telepresence technology with a processor-based system, BrightCom is able to deliver an easy to use experience for system management and one-touch upgrades. A single connection point can integrate multiple conferencing systems and can provide access to new endpoints easily. With a client/server foundation, sharing data in its native format, cooperatively marking up data and adjusting bandwidth in real time makes for an optimal meeting experience.
